The inner area of Barrow's pre-2008 Hindpool Ward is predominately a residential district bordering the town centre, accommodating just over 5000 residents in about 2600 dwellings. The buildings are in the main about 100 years old, having reached an age where their original facade of Victorian style workmen's cottages and matching street scenes have rightly become fashionable throughout England when renovated to a high standard of robust and durable originality.

Will's Comment

No! These aren't vertical blinds, and its not prison cells, although it certainly looks like a prison with these metal security bars. Was planning permission needed for this hidious vandalism ?

Jackie Says

If this business really needs these prison bars, its not a suitable business to be in a residential area, causing urban blight.
